Ann Del Pero

Naples, FL –  November 12, 2019 – Staying in Place is growing older without having to move. On Thursday, November 21 at 4 p.m. at Clive Daniel Home, interior designer Ann Del Pero, Allied ASID, IDS and Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) will combine her extensive interior design experience with her CAPS training to help clients modify their homes and changing lifestyles for aging in place. Knowledge attained at the event will help to make homes safer and prepare them for the future. To register for the complimentary event, contact CDH at (239) 213-7844 or register on line at https://clivedanielhom.wpengine.com/events_instore/

“The majority of Americans over the age of 50 want to continue living in a familiar environment throughout their maturing years,” explained Ann. “According to the AARP, older homeowners overwhelmingly prefer to age in place, living in their home safely, independently and comfortably, regardless of age or ability level. Our seminar will help seniors make these modifications to their homes as they age by helping increase safety, access and maneuverability for ease of use.”

Some of the most requested aging-in-place improvements include: installing bath and shower grab bars, creating curb-less showers, adding higher toilettes, adjustment of countertop heights, adding task lighting and the creation of multifunctional first floor master suites. Aging seniors often need to install private elevators, widening doorways, and build ramps or lower-thresholds on doors.

While this may seem to be the work of a general contractor, CAPS professionals like Ann Del Pero have been taught the strategies and techniques for designing and building aesthetically enriching, barrier-free living environments. Adding comfort, safety and ease of use in a home means seamlessly blending these characteristics into the architectural style of the home.  Ann’s 30+ years in the design field as an Interior Architect and Space Planner, furniture and industrial designer and university professor make her uniquely qualified to help each customer with their special needs and select appropriate vendors when needed.

Ann holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design, a Master’s certificate in Industrial Design and Design Management from Milan, Italy and a Masters in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University.

Clive Daniel Home is located at 2777 Tamiami Trail North in Naples.
